ReaControlMidi vs Metronome

Have you tried inserting a click track instead of the metronome...? I use ritardandos on many tunes and need to go from various meters, so I insert a click track for the meat of the tune. Then a second one in double time, i.e. 4/4 becomes 8/4, etc. In this way I can decrease the tempo using the timeisg/tempo markers, the drummer gets to hear the extra subdivisions whic make the ritardamdos much easier to follow. Actually we sent the click out into a Monome and view it visually. Still like to see a fix for you though. I haven't begun to use the plug ins since im still in hardware and DSP. Just another possible work around.

RE: ReaControlMidi vs Metronome

XITE-1, Never did the click track because of needing a lead in, though a couple silent bars do the same thing. ReaControlMidi only crashes when the count in is used. Recording with a count in permanently overrides the pitch wheel even if the metronome is turned off afterward. This problem doesn't mess with adjacent or new tracks until they are recorded with the count in. If you don't use the count in, the plug behaves the way expected and would be about the same as a click track. HotDogWater's pitch shift plug on the JS forum allows pitch wheel data without this flaw. The bug is not a killer issue since there are acceptable ways to compensate. Would be neat to have fixed just for the sake of having a great feature that works equally great. Nice graphic work. Thanks for your reply. John
