HEELP!! and Hello!

MessageAuthor

Hi all, First post. looking for some specific help. I have everything for Reaper set up as far as signal chain. I am using an Akai MPK mini for the midi components and working through using such a device. I guess my first question is: Is there a chat room of sorts where Reaper folk can meet?I know I have some pretty simple Reaper questions that would be able to be answered quite quickly by others. Such as: If you have an external library of sound files that you would like to use, is there a proper place to put them so Reaper can access or does it not really matteras long as it is on the same computer? Thanks all, Os from Sydney.

RE: HEELP!! and Hello!

post `em on here. your biggest problem is likely to be the time difference (about 11 hours where I am) & that is a problem in a chat room too. However, there is one referred to on here somewhere. I know Pipeline Audio (member) is involved in it... Anyway welcome to the forums! There is a ton of useful stuff in the free user guide, also the free Video Tutorials, both at reaper.fm if you didn`t already find them. Most of my family live in Australia(grandad was born in Warrnambool) & I have never ever been there! I do chat with one of my cousins on there via messenger or Whatsapp now and again, though. Since I also have family in the Southern US & friends all over the world, it gets hard to remember which time zone is which.

RE: HEELP!! and Hello!

Thanks Ivansc and Martinfingers, Ivansec, Thanks yes, I thought I saw a link for a chat room somewhere but then couldn't find it again. (always how it goes!!} I might post a separate thread, as my first has been a bit obscure..Thank you also for your further advice and information!! Martinfingers, Thank you, For your reply. I wasn't sure if there was a preferred way to go about things, but a separate storage unit (SSD or HD) makes sense, didn't even cross my mind at the time. Will give it a go! Cheers again and thank you both for such prompt replies!~! :) Os
