Hi guys just purchased stillwell Audio rocket after hearing rave reviews about it on this forum. I am tryIng to use the sidechain bass to my kick can someone please show how it is done thanks. Ps it is a great plugin!

Yup. Make sure that the track that The Rocket is on has four channels. The first two (1/2) are the main stereo track, and the second pair (3/4) are the sidechain. Anything that you route to 3/4 of that track will be used as the detector input when the sidechain control is "on". Thanks for buying!!! Scott

is there a way to do this with other compressors as well, like waves c1? i know it's possible to do this with c1 in PT, but with the rtas version. thanks!

you can do it with any dll that will work with sidechaining

yes, I'm interested in the answer to that too, as I've been thinking of delving into trying to use parameter modulation (instead of compression) to modulate volumes in a mix, you know, kick drum lowering the bass drum, vocals lowering guitar parts, etc. On a related note - are there any approximate "standard" settings to use in a compressor when side-chaining to achieve volume ducking?
