heeeeeeeeelp!!! my digi002 wont start!!!

I wonder hope some of you can help me on this one. When I tung on my digi002, the little screens lite on but there is no Loading or Validating... it just stays like that while the faders click like they are trying to go down... Pleeeeeeaseee help me somebody!!! I sent an error bug to digi, and request for costumer support etc. but no reply yet.

Same thing has happened to me, TWICE! I read in another thread that a gentleman wrote Digi and they said it was a problem with the power cord harness that the IEC xable connects into the Digi002. I also wrote Digi three weeks ago, with no reply. I have the Digi002 in the C room of my facility and had to cancel dates due to the down tme this problem has caused. I have had my suspicions with the power in my room, but it doesn't explain why oe Digi002 is sensitive. I'm running Pro Tools LE 6.0.4 on a Dual 1.25 G4 Power Mac w/ 768 RAM.

The problem is in the voltage of the power. I just found out that the current voltage in my studio is 248V which is 8V more than digi002 can support. cuzinofdef dont worry get a stabilisator but carefully select it because most of them just correct the voltage if it is less than 220V you need one that does the lowering to 220V to. I sugest you not to use anything in your studio cuz I had my speakers almost blown off.

heeeelp again. Yesterday my digi002 started, today the same error keeps on haunting me. where is digidesign when you need one...

BesnikB, It sounds like your 002 may be in need of a repair. We have had a few 002s with AC power harness issues. Contact tech support by phone at 650-731-6100 and they can arrange to send you out a replacement harness that will resolve this issue. If you are outside the US or Canada, Please contact tech support in your region to setup an RA. Hope this helps. Mike
