When you bounce to disk you'll be bouncing as one stereo file which means that's the way it'll burn to a CDR if they're not separated. Also it'd be easier to split them now and apply different plug in settings if you wanted to. Depends what the final result is to be.

Oh, it'll also make it easier to select specific tracks for playback if they're split. If you intend to burn to CDR, you'll be stuck with the running order too.You can save each song in its own folder and mess around with mixes easier.
Interesting. I guess it depends. Having one session is great, because whatever plugin setups I keep adding is applied to all tracks, which is desirable if I want a consistent sound for a ll songs, which I do. As far as bouncing to disk, it can be done individually. I can highlight only the sub-section that I want and bounce that to disk. Also, the mastering may be easier, because same mastering are apllied to one session. So the advantage of the split is really to the extent that something really applies only to one section. But then, that can be taken care of by the automation. I wonder how the pros work on an album project from that perspective?

I have a PT session with 5 songs, all recorded in one session. I am ready to move on with plugins and effects. I was wondering if I should split the master session into 5 sub-sessions, each containing one song. What are the pros and cons of doing that?
