No Sounds in Panther via Digi Hardware?

I just upgraded to Panther 10.3.5, and though iTunes works when setting the sound output to Digi hardware, I've noticed nothing else does. Anything played on the net, or little sound apps that play music, all of them play out of the Mac speaker now instead of the Digi hardware, even though I keep confirming that nothing has changed and SOUND OUT is still set to Digidesign. Any ideas? Thanks Tom

Did you upgrade your Core Audio Driver to the latest version when you upgraded? You might not have the multi-client version installed which would only allow one app to work at a time.

i asked this a while back: In DVD player i can't access my DIGI hardware anymore though DIGI HW is chosen in sound preferences. DIGI HW is simply not an option in the DVD player settings. This never was a problem on my previous system (G4, PT 5.3, HD3). Now on G5, 6.2.3, HD2 Accel it seems impossible to access the HW. BTW this is NOT the case in iTunes - iTunes plays fine. Is anybody else experiencing this? Any ideas? Kai and JD helped me out: Did you try adding DVD player as a Supported Application in the Digi Core Audio Manager?
