any freebie/open source audio/midi over LAN program?

Even just audio OR midi over LAN will do. Reamote is very unstable and for shortcircuit, etc., crashes. I want only midi/audio over LAN. PLEASE PLEASE suggest me one! I will also research online!

Hi keyman, Have a look at Wormhole 2 for audio;I've had reasonable success in the past with this. For midi there is Ethernetmidi.It's a little long to set up each time but works well. Otherwise there is IPmidi,I think the demo works for an hour at a time and works well.Might buy it someday. Goodluck, Paul

Just a thought;have you tried reastream,it's in the Cockos FX.Works very well and sends midi and audio. It takes a little while to setup but has the advantage of not needing the same plugins on each computer. I remember it being very stable.These days I tend to render tracks when they become too heavy on CPU,but I may well go back to some LAN solutions soon. Paul
