prevent reaper from deselecting a track when clicking into the arrange window?

and another one: why does reaper always deselect my track, when i click into an empty area of my arrangement? i`d like the current track to be selected always, no matter what. could someone please tell me what to do to make reaper behave so? thanks in advance! :)

Options->Preferences->Editing Behaviour->Mouse Untick Mouse clicks/edits in track view change track selection

As a workaround for now you can use your middle mouse button. That's a bug imho but not like you say because that's not "track view" but "timeline background" and if we click on timeline and tracks stay selected then it should happen too when clicking on that "empty" space.
