AAX 64 Bool automation

MessageAuthor

I'm noticing that there is an issue with AAX 64 when automating boolean switches, both windows and Mac. It seems that when automating off, Pro Tools isn't sending any message at all to the plugin that it changed values. The switch will automate on once, but never automate off. similarly, when I make the switch an int with two values instead of a bool, Automation only works if I don't bring the automation curve to max value in Pro Tools. I can work around it by making calling initDouble() if it's an AAX 64 plugin, but I'm wondering if this is a known issue and if there is anything else that can be done. I do not have this same issue in Pro Tools 10 with AAX 32 plugins.

Also, I know that wdl-ol is being rewritten, so if this is an issue, I don't expect it to be fixed for the old wdl-ol. I'm just curious if anyone has noticed this.

RE: AAX 64 Bool automation

there is a known issue regarding integer parameters in ProTools. Perhaps it's the same thing?
