.ogg files

Hi not sure if this is posible or been discussed before (had a quick search) but anyway, i have 30 or so .ogg video files on my computer and they are taken up far to much space being about 500mb each file so i have been trying to figure out a way to re-encode to them to another format in the hope to sacrafice quality for file size, being that im a complete n00b at this sort of thing i was wondering if any1 can help me with this? any input wld be appreciated cheerz

virtualdubmod... that'll re-encode it to either avi or mkv for you, with your codec of choice. there's also other, slightly more sophisticated options out there. not sure if you'd need them.

Are they ogm or theora? What's the duration of the video, length, resolution?

ive tried virtualdubmod but i couldnt get sound as well may just be cos i did it wrong however. I'm not sure about the files i assume ogm it just says Ogg media file in file type. the videos themselves are all about 20mins in length. not sure about resolution? how do i found out?
