Jamstix loses its settings and Ralph is scratching his head

Hi jamstix works fine hear . Try this restart your pc , open reaper , new project, jamstix, load drumkit, save see if this works . Dont use your old project ,I think this will be corrupt. I had this problem with one new project after installing jamcussion and found this problem to be passed on to other projects.

yeah, this happened to me last night. 2 hours of JS song creation and tweaking gone. I save often in Reaper but I never saved the song in JS. Luckily, I outputed the midi output before I shut down Reaper so I can salvage most of it....

Hi, This problem has happend to me again. open a saved song and press play , no sounds . open jamstix plugin and it just opens the quiq start menu cheers.

yeah, workaround I've been using is : "save song" in Jamstix before you shut down Reaper. Then open Reaper, go to track with Jamstix and in Jamstix, "load song" and it will all be there. For extra precautions, I've also been outputting the Jamstix generated Midi to a track before I shut down Reaper.

I have been getting this problem also. I wrote about it on the Jamstix support website, , I tried the solutions, opening and closing files like Shemp suggested, and it didn't work. This is a new problem for me as I had Reaper and Jamstix working nicely before. I'll be interested to see this thread progresses as hopefully we can find a solution. same here.. have had to get in the habit of saving in jamstix all the time.. I hope this is resolved because im a big fan of both softwares

I've been trying to get a fix for this and Ralph has tried a couple of things but it's not got it yet. See this thread, and follow the link as well to the Rayzoon forum. Both my slow-downs and Reaper saving are related to the Save Full Plug-in State in the Preferences/VST section. Note: If Reaper saves the project instantly you know that it has not saved the project correctly. If it's not instant then it usually means the full project has been saved.I too now save my JS song sheet just in case but it is a PITA Please add to my request for a keyboard shortcut to toggle the VST state on and off as this would go a long way to make the problem workable :)

Ralph has just sent me a new modified Jamstix2.ini This works with the latest version of JS.You can now hold down the Ctrl key and go to the File/Save menu and save the project and it keeps it's settings. You can post on the Rayzoon forum for it or PM me if you want a copy. You cannot however use the Keyboard shortcut to save. Note:I have me default keyboard save set to Alt+S and not Ctrl+S so there are no conflicts.
