Merging the add-ons

Considaring there are so many add-ons for DVD-RB. Is there any chance that they could all be merged into one tool? IF they could be made into "modules" and then activated and accessed through on GUI that'd be great. It'd mean that updating would still be easy, and we could all benefit from being able to use them all from the same GUI.

RE: Merging the add-ons

Merging them into the main dvd-rb is not going to happen since it would complicate dvd-rb out of proportion. But what I'd like to see is RBFarm, RBOpt, RBKeeper, ECL Tweaker, ECL Optimizer and such tools made stickies or that one stickie (titled Additional Tweaking Tools) would point to the threads so they dont get buried.

I don't see a real need for this, and I know personally I would much rather see jdobbs working on angles or menu compression instead of trying to get DVD-RB to work with a set of unique and constantly changing addons.

RE: Merging the add-ons

What i actually meant was that all the mods, and DVD-RB could be controlled from one GUI. Not necessaryily combined into one EXE file. My idea was just to have the different mods all operating from one GUI. Basically the GUI would have a main interface, where it would have the prepare/encode/rebuild buttons, and then seperate tabs for each of the mods to set the various parameters or tweak the required settings. I wouldn't think it would be too difficult for someone to whip up something like that. But since i can't program, i might be wrong. At the moment all it would acomplish would be to stop people having to open several EXE's to encode one dvd. E.g. open DVD-RB.exe to prepare, then close it. Then open the ECL tweaker.exe and do some tweaking there, then close that. And then open the exe for RB-Opt to change a few settings there, and then closing that and opening RB-Farm. If all this could be done from one GUI it would be neater, and easier to do. The programs themselves would still be seperate exe's etc, but they could all be controlled from that one gui.

You could create an explorer.exe shortcut like this (in xp): %SystemRoot%\explorer.exe "C:\Program Files\DVD-Rebuilder\Tools" to a folder with shortcuts to the various programs. Or make a folder in the quickstart menu and put the shortcuts there.
