Slowing Down Effect... Any Ideas?

Hi, I'm currently on a TV project that has several sequences where the power shuts off. I'm trying to get the effect of music and foley slowing down to a stop - kind of like the reel to reel tape machine slowing down gag (it's a kid's show so the producers want many of the old cliches). Are there any suggestions on how to do this within ProTools? I was trying to think of a way of automating a pitch shift plug in but I can't figure out how that would work. Ideas would be appreciated! "Vari-Fi" is what you want It's a Digi plug.

Serato Pitch 'N Time and you can alter the slow down speed grahically and draw in you own curve.

Press down/squeeze your hard drives during playback, mimicking the classic reel-to-reel method. -tv

or, pull the plug on the compter while it is in record. Vari-Fi, as was said, part of the digi DiFi collection is the answer. i use it all the time. i also still leave a 1/4" hanging around for this kind of stuff .... can you get your hands on one?

Throw the piece you need into a sampler and grab the pitch wheel.
