RE: Water in drivers footwell

Thanks Sheerwater & Beryl for your replies, I've flushed out & replenished the cooling system, sealed the corners of front screen, took out inlet at bottom of screen & checked for blockage - no problem ;seems to drain water away perfect. However, after a spell of rain I'm still getting water inside. Next time I get chance to look I'll check the fan seal as suggested by Sheerwater. Having something to go on, based on others similar experiences, does help. Thanks - Dave.

RE: Water in drivers footwell

Check back in the archives, you will find a couple of answers to this problem which are different to the suggestions you have tried. The leak is caused by a misplaced electrical grommet at side of car up under the dashboard. You will need to remove the side panel and the knee panel for access. The grommet feeds the loom via the interwing space where the wtaer rushes down at the windscreen corner which it is meant to do. With the loose grommet it pours down onto the loom and straight into the car. Be careful, I cut my hands a little when trying to replace the grommet into it's hole. All the best, Peter. :car-smiley-031:
