BFD problems in 6.9

Help! My BFD has always run flawlessly but now I'm getting "increase hardware buffer size" errors when I try to record OR playback. I get this error even with my buffer set at 1024 ...and no other plugs(or audio) in the session. I've seen posts about 6.9 being a cpu hog but this can't be right. Any ideas???? (I'm running BFD v 1.0.10.5...it's not the newest version but I'm afraid to upgrade BFD until I figure out this problem)

RE: BFD problems in 6.9

I've narrowed down my problem. I only get the "hardware buffer" error when i am in loop record/playback. No problem playing consecutive measures. In the past, I've highlighted 2 (or 4) bars in loop record mode...and then created my drum pattern. but now PT and BFD don't like to do that anymore! Any thoughts? btw - I upgraded to the latest version BFD (but still no luck)
