Reaper is hanging up when I try to close my projects...

Hello to all... Is anyone else having more hangup incidents upon closing a project since the 4.78 update? At this time about half of my attempts to close projects end with Reaper hanging up and Windows closing things down. I immediately re-open Reaper, the same project is still loaded and it closes perfectly. I have never had a failure to close the project on this second attempt to close a project. I've made no alterations to my machine or Reaper in the last few months, other than the 4.78 upgrade. Any thoughts out there? Maybe try a re-install of Reaper??? I've never done that, I'm assuming I can do it without too much damage to my existing Reaper configurations (i.e. having to reload all my plugins, etc.)? Thanks in advance. My specs: Reaper running in 32 bit configuration/Windows 7 64bit SPI/ AMD FX-8320 8 Core Processor/16 gig RAM

I sometimes have this problem on mac. I believe that it is related to certain plugins and/or bridging. does it happen with audio only projects ? how about audio + cockos plugs?

Thank you semiquaver for your quick response. All my projects consist of audio tracks only (Do I misunderstand your question? I never use video in Reaper,...) I never have a project without Cockos plugins active (and usually a few other manufacturers' plugins too.) I typically have a high and low pass Cockos ReaEQ plugin on all tracks... and several Cockos ReaComp tracks... My projects are relatively simple vocal/music track combos. I do at times get to over 30 tracks, I probably average in the area of 20 or less tracks per song. But... no matter how many tracks, plugins, etc. I have, my projects have always closed with no hangups until the past couple of months. I have installed no new plugins in that time frame...
