Stop/Pause recording + Track height

Thanks for your reply. It really helped. Of course there was an option for the track height... Good! I usually find these things, but in Reaper there are so many options and settings, it's overwhelming, but I like it. As, for the filesaveing on stop: I'm used to hitting a record button while playing back. This will record until I press stop or hit the record-button again (in the latter case the playback will continue without recording). In my head there is no such thing as "Pause" in a DAW. In the "tape-world" it made sense to have a "Pause" button (where the tape would still be on the tape-heads). In a DAW I'm used to having 2 kinds of "Stop", as I described. One that stops where you press stop and one that stops and then rewinds to the place you started. I will try to make a little macro then, to achieve this. It is amazing how flexible this software is... Once again, thanks a lot. Best regards, F/L

RE: Stop/Pause recording + Track height

Ok. I have managed to make a macro to achieve a "Stop in place". Even though I have to use 2 different commands for "Play" and "stop-in-place" now. It's workable. Another problem is when I MTC-sync to my main DAW. If I press "Stop" on my master, Reaper goes into pause. This could be alright if the MIDI-notes did not sound on pause. What happens is that I start playing on the Master DAW, Reaper follows, I press stop on Master DAW, Reaper goes to Pause leaving the last MIDI notes hanging until I press stop or F3 in Reaper. Not really workable for me. (If I hit Stop the Play-cursor moves to the Edit-cursor, not to the place I started playback on Master DAW, not very important, but anyway...). Is there a way to send "All Notes Off" on Pause? (I only found this option for Play/Stop) That would solve my main issue. P.S. I also found that Reaper doesn't listen to Master DAW's Stop if it's in Record. It would also be great to have an "Auto Enable External Sync" option. D.S. Best regards, F/L

Hello again, I also found the "Move edit cursor to end of recorded items on record stop" tickbox. Great! This is what I needed initially. Any suggestions on the external sync issues? F/L
