Color Theme help

MessageAuthor

Hello everyone. I trying to find out why only some of the color themes that I downloaded are showing up in the Options - Color Themes and all of them are found when I choose Options - Preferences - Appearance. I want to set a complete color theme (Plasticity Grey) but it only shows up in the Preferences and when I set both the Appearance and Color Theme (from Options - Preferences) it only changes half of the theme and the remainder is still set to the previous theme. Anyone? Thanks.

RE: Color Theme help

A theme consists of a .reapertheme file and generally a folder of image (.png) files - you should have both. The themes that are listed within Reaper are those that have the .reapertheme file. If that file is missing then the theme is not listed. If you have a theme folder named "xxxx" you could copy default.reapertheme to xxxx.reapertheme, then open the "xxxx" theme in Reaper. Better though, download those incomplete themes again and make sure you've got both the file and the folder of image files. HTH ---------------- Another thought - does the folder you have contain the .reapertheme file and a folder of image files? If so, drag both the file and the folder into the C:\Program Files\REAPER\ColorThemes folder (or wherever you have installed Reaper).

I've just looked at Plasticity - my "another thought" is the answer, I reckon :)

RE: Color Theme help

There is another setting that you might take a look at under the Preferences->Color Themes. Check to see if "Theme requests UI images" is set to your default. As an example, I typically will have "Shredders Titanium" set in the list so I ensure my theme elements and colors are used. Just a thought..
