Reaper claims Lame is not installed.

Hey, I'm trying to render a project to mp3, and it continually tells me that lame is not installed. I tried removing it and reinstalling several times, restarting after each attempt, and I'm getting absolutely no where. Any suggestions? Note: I have tried multiple different lame downloads to no avail.

Just to make sure, you're putting the Lame .dll in the base Reaper folder, right?

Yes, the .dll is in the same folder as reaper.exe

So I came back to try and render today and had the same problem. For fun, I changed it from entire project to time selection with the entire song highlighted, and it worked. Weird, but it got the job done.

If you have Reaper 64, you need LAME 64. Maybe that's the trick ;-)

And I lost it again today. I've tried both lames from the download sight, and a few others, the 64 and the other, neither has worked, and it always seems to crash when there's a slight urgency....
