Problem recording with ASIO

Which ASIO are you using? If it's ASIO4ALL, could you post a picture of it's configuration screen with all devices expanded in the list? ASIO4ALL will disable all inputs if it finds a device with an unsupported sample frequency, for example. Fergo

RE: Problem recording with ASIO

For information: Since starting REAPER a month or two back, I have had the same problem on and off. At random times ASIO input signal goes missing even though ASIO output to the same device is still working. Digitech RP250 Guitar effects box connected by USB to PC for recording and playback/monitoring to headphones output on the RP250 box. REAPER configured to use the driver supplied by Digitech "RP250 ASIO". Lost input connection once every few days is not so bad. Sometimes no problem for a week or more. Usually any lost input connection is restored by simply opening and closing Options-Preferences-Device-ASIO Configuration within REAPER. Until yesterday, 30th Nov....... when repeated lost ASIO input connection started happening so frequently I could barely record one or two short takes before noticing that REAPER was recording total silence. After perhaps a dozen lost connections I switched back to the non-ASIO WaveOut driver, and that's where I'm staying for now! The sudden change of behaviour is not due to a REAPER version upgrade. REAPER v3.141 was working well for some days before the sudden increase in ASIO problems occured on 30th Nov. EDIT: 2nd Dec. Downloaded and installed ASIO4ALL V2. Problem solved? Seems to be. For now, its looking and sounding very good. 6th Dec. Continued use with ASIO4ALL V2. Problem is completely solved. Not one lost ASIO input in four days of use. Good latency also, and extra flexibility to route outputs through ASIO and non-ASIO outputs at the same time!
