no sound using monitor mode

Have my synth hooked up to inputs 3 & 4 on the 001 (via patch panel), outputs 1 & 2 connected to an amplifier, which is connected to speakers. I also tried connecting amp to monitor outputs 3 & 4. Any reason this shouldn't be working??

press the monitor button "in"

You need to use the *monitor outs* for that function, not the mains 1 & 2 dk
