Dual Monitors

MessageAuthor

Hey, I here a lot of talk about using dual monitors with protools. I have two monitors and Im not seeing much advantage to it, save if i am using reason or some other program at the same time. Protools does not allow me to spread its IDE across two monitors. The mix and edit windows can only be viewed in the main protools window. If anyone has any advice or tips on how to utilize my dual monitors, i would greatly appreciate it. Thanks

RE: Dual Monitors

if you have the righ dual output video card you can do what you're trying to do with pro tools. I have the radeon 9000 or something.........the stock 32meg video card that came with the DP 1.25 G4's. Go to system pref's.......click on displays.......then click the "arrangment" tab....then un-check the mirror displays box........if you have the right hardware and it's hooked up correctly, then you will now have two seperate monitors that you can share anything with, including PT's.
