What's your budget? I love the feel of both of my mechanical keyboards, and feel they are worth the extra expense. I'm a pretty decent touch typist. They both have Cherry MX switches, one blacks and one blues. The blues click, which is somewhat annoying. I'm also looking for backlighting, so it's getting replaced soon. Otherwise I'd keep it until it breaks. For backlighting, you'll want brightness control at a minimum. There's something to be said for the advantage of red light in a dark room, too. RGB LEDs will add cost but allow for customization, but IMO they seem to be used more for flashiness. I'd recommend googling the cherry switches if a mech interests you at all. Das Keyboard, Filco, and Ducky are the more famous brands. Mine are both Das but the one with the blue switches might get replaced with a Corsair Strafe.
