send not sending

Since I'm new to Reaper, I followed the doc (as far as I can tell) by creating a track, labeling it FX Bus, setting the IO in the track I'm sending from to send to the new track. All the faders are at zero. I think i did everything i was supposed to and .... i receive nothing on the FX track. What am I doing wrong? Mac Pro 10.6.8 6 gig Reaper 4.25 64 bit thanks for any support! omaclay

bad installation 

Hi, I had an earlier version installed, perhaps a 32 bit version. I cleaned the whole thing out with appzapper and removed the Lib/Application Support/Reaper and reinstalled. It works now. O.
